Actor Tim Healey is a star of stage and screen. Best known for his role in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet he is arguably one of the most famous faces to hale from the North East and has been an avid supporter of the charity since the very beginning.

Denise Welch

Denise is also a proud patron of Hope 4 Kidz in her native North East and is known nationwide for her TV appearances in shows such as Coronation Street and Waterloo Road, as well as her presenting role on ITV’s Loose Women.

Vin Welch

Vin is the head of the Welch acting dynasty, which includes his daughter Denise, and has clocked up dozens of appearances on stage and screen, including roles in Heartbeat, The Bill, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

Bernice Saltzer, Sorted PR

Former journalist and leading public relations expert Bernice Saltzer has been involved with Hope 4 Kidz since its original conception and her company Sorted Public Relations currently handles publicity on the charity’s behalf.

Gary Bennett

Gary is a former English professional footballer who is most known for playing for Sunderland from 1984 to 1995. He now works as a radio pundit and has regularly commentates on Sunderland games, he currently is the Head Coach of the University of Sunderland’s Men’s 1st Team.

Kevin Ball

Kevin is a former English professional footballer who played for Sunderland from 1990 to 1999. Who now holds the position of senior professional development coach at Sunderland.

Ritchie Pitt

Ritchie is a former English professional footballer who played for Sunderland 1968 to 1975 and was part of the club’s 1973 FA Cup Final winning side.

Bobby Kerr

Bobby is a former Sunderland midfielder who captained Sunderland to victory in the 1973 FA Cup Final against Leeds.

Kieron Brady

Kieron is a former professional footballer who played for Sunderland from 1989-1993.

Ian Whyte

Ian Whyte is an Actor, stuntman and former professional basketball player, recently he has portrayed various characters requiring a physically tall actor in the HBO series Game of Thrones, including White Walkers in season 1 and season 2 and a giant in the opening episode of season 3. For these roles he was unrecognisable under make-up and computer effects. Inseason 2, he also had a speaking role as Ser Gregor Clegane. In season 5 and season 6, Whyte portrayed the giant Wun Wun. Ian has also appeared in films such as Prometheus, Harry Potter, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi.
